I have to confess, I can't say for sure whether or not my boy Max came from a puppy farm and I feel awful about it.

Just over four and a half years ago we made a family choice to look for a new dog. I was completely unaware of rescue groups and must be honest and admit that getting an adult dog from the pound was not a consideration at the time.

Apparently a lot! This is serious business naming your pet. Dog names or pet names in general can be a point of contention in some households. What to call your new family member? Who gets to choose it?  Will it be something you got from a movie because you loved that character or will it be a name that has a special meaning to you? Whatever the choice, pet owners take this job very seriously.
